Your service begins with a consultation to discuss your desired look—whether that's a full shave, beard trim to a specific length, or edge detailing. We then prepare your skin with:

• Hot steamed towels to open pores, soften stubble, and relax facial muscles
• Pre-shave oil for added glide and skin protection
• Rich lather worked into the beard area to lift hairs and cushion the blade
• Straight-razor work using controlled strokes, proper skin stretching, and often multiple passes (with the grain, diagonal, and—where appropriate—against) for an exceptionally close finish
• Cold towel refresh to close pores after the heat and razor work
• Post-shave balm or moisturiser to calm skin, reduce redness, and lock in hydration

Where trimming is involved, we use clippers or scissors to set length and shape, reserving the razor for crisp outlining on cheeks, neck, and moustache.

Aftercare & Maintenance

Immediately after your shave, you may notice slight warmth, tightness, or pinkness—this usually resolves quickly. To keep your skin in top condition:

• Apply a gentle moisturiser or balm and avoid heavy touching or scratching
• Skip harsh exfoliants or strong alcohol-based products for 24 hours
• Wait at least a day before shaving the same area again at home
• For trimmed beards, use beard oil daily and maintain edges with regular touch-ups

Clients using topical retinoids, strong acne treatments, or blood thinners should let us know beforehand, as these can increase sensitivity.
