Your babylights service begins with a consultation to assess your hair's condition, discuss your desired brightness, and determine the best tone (warm, cool or neutral) for your complexion. We'll then:

• Section your hair into zones, focusing on the hairline, parting and crown for maximum face-framing effect
• Take ultra-fine subsections and micro-weave them before placing on foils
• Apply lightener carefully, monitoring processing to protect delicate hairline sections
• Rinse and apply a toner or glaze to refine the shade and balance warmth
• Finish with conditioning treatment to restore moisture and shine

A full head typically takes 2–3 hours depending on hair length, thickness and your starting colour.

• Natural dimension without bold contrast or obvious streaks
• A soft way to brighten blonde or light-brown hair by one to two levels
• Subtle blending of early greys near the roots

Babylights are most effective on hair that's already light to medium brown or lighter. Very dark bases may require multiple sessions or a tailored approach — we'll discuss the best strategy during your consultation.

Because babylights use lightener on fine sections, protecting your hair's health and colour vibrancy is essential:

• Use sulfate-free, colour-safe shampoo and conditioner
• Reduce wash frequency and rinse with cooler water to preserve tone
• Apply a deep conditioning mask weekly and always use heat protectant before styling
• Limit hot-tool temperatures to minimise fade and dryness

With proper care, babylights remain fresh for 8–12 weeks before you'll want a touch-up. The fine, blended placement means regrowth is softer and more forgiving than traditional highlights.
